Bissell will spray water when set to water rinse, but as soon as it is set to light, normal, or heavy cleaning, there is no spray. I have tried priming but to no avail. I put plain water in the solution tank to test without ay success. It is like it loses it's prime whenever you try to use a solution mix. Once you set it back to water rinse only and go through the priming steps, it is OK. Any help would be appreciated.

My eureka optima upright bagless vaccum has VERY low suction using the floor part. The hose has excellent suction. I removed the little translucent door underneath and there were no blockages, i cleaned the brushroll thoroughly and that hasnt helped either. I know this probably isnt recommended but i turned it on to the floor setting with the brushroll off and stuck my fingers up the intake as far as i could, the suction was good further up but it just seems to stop down at the base.

Mine on Low setting to use as air clearner you can hear it in the next two rooms. Her's you had to atleast be in the same room and still can talk.

I believe I have a bad machine. Your new rainbow is still under warranty I believe so explain it to the company and ask for another. I too had a rainbow however I am like your friend in which mine worked very well. The noise is coming from the motor housing or the motor itself.
